White Blood Cells on the Rise

Lori and me waiting for my appointment.

Getting my IV at the new clinic.
Today was my Nadir appointment in Idaho Falls. It was at the new oncology clinic building. They renamed Teton Oncology to Teton Cancer Center because they paired with another cancer clinic. The new building is really nice with a lot of stations for Chemo. My white blood cells numbers were better than last time at 3.4. The “baby white blood cells shot”/Neulasta seems to be working. I got an IV because I was feeling really dehydrated. It really helps. It seems like no matter how much I drink I can’t get hydrated. This way it goes straight into my system instead of most of it going down the toilet.

My Scalp Unveiled

My hair has gotten really patchy so Lori shaved it even shorter, almost to the scalp. The patches are a darker color and the same density it was before Chemo and then there is really light hair in between the patches that is sparser. It feels more like whiskers. My scalp is really white since it hasn’t seen sun since I was a baby. I don’t plan on it seeing any sun either.

Me!
Super short hair cut.

Tired but Happy

Matt came up Friday and we went out and looked at Rachel and Terrance’s place.  I was starting to feel a bit tired and my mouth is dry.  By evening I was exhausted and slept pretty well.

This was my head after showering Friday.  A significant amount of hair has fallen out since Thursday.

Saturday we went to a couple of yard sales and I got some hats.  After about 1 hour Braxton was done.  Matt brought me back to Dad and Mom’s that evening.  I was very tired and dizzy all day.  So far my mouth is really dry but not the type of sore throat I had last time.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed.

It was wonderful to be able to visit with all of the kids this week.
