Shaved Head Observations

I realize most men probably don’t even think twice about these things I have discovered since having shaved my head.  They were very surprising and eye opening to me.

  • When showering it feels like little bubbles are flowing through the short hair on your head.
  •  Adjust the amount of shampoo you use when shampooing your head.  A little goes a very long way.
  • If you are in the shade or under cover your head is always cold, even when the temperature is in the 90’s,
  • If you are in the sun without any head covering your scalp will fry.
  • Your neck is always cold as well.
  • Even if your neck is cold, it will get burned if you are in the sun.
  • The hair below the crown of your head lies down and the hair above your crown sticks up.
  • When you put a knit hat on your head, taking it off is like trying to detach it from Velcro.
  • You have to “lift and shift” to adjust a ball cap because of the Velcro affect.
  • Just like having a Ghost Limb, you can have Ghost Hair and will find yourself flipping your head upside down after a shower to wrap your towel around your hair, trying to move your hair while in bed, buying shampoo, having your heart skip a beat when you look in the mirror because you have forgotten your hair is gone,
