Chemo Day

Today was Chemo Day.  Matt drove me to the appointment.  Before I went to Chemo I went to see Dr. Brad Smith, my surgeon, about a lump I had found between my scar and the chest wall.  He said it felt like a lump of fat but they made an appointment with ultrasound to check it out to be sure.  They can remove it no matter what since it’s right where I lay my arm when I sleep so it feels like I have a marble between my arm and chest.  There was quite a bit of fluid on my left side and some on my right so he will drain those on Tuesday during my follow-up.

Then off to Chemo.  Another lady was there who was just starting chemo for cancer of the uterus.  She already had radiation, then hysterectomy, now chemo.  It’s amazing to me how different all of the treatments are for the different cancers.

It took about 4 hours to get everything done.  I was feeling pretty tired afterward.  Today I had to start taking Clarion for 3 days.

Matt went up to visit with Rachel and Braxton while I was in Chemo.  Apparently, Rachel wanted to take a shower so she had Matt feet Braxton in the meantime.  It was a good thing he put all of the “puff snacks” on the bib instead of putting it on Braxton.  Braxton can see an amateur a mile away and was going to make sure everyone else could see him also.

"It's not my fault you left me with Matt."
Matt picked me up and took me back to Blackfoot.  I went to walk with Lori at her school but I was really worn out.  I laid on her classroom floor while she was straightening her room for the summer.  I was so tired by the time I got home that I pretty much just went to sleep.
